I like this thermometer for one main reason--it's simple and easy to use. This is the third meat thermometer I've owned. The first one I had was too small to read (and I may have accidentally broke it). The next one I had was nice because it showed the different temperatures you needed to reach for each type of meat, but that also made it difficult to read.  The needle had a black and red tip.  I couldn't ever remember which one I was supposed to read.

With the Chef Remi Cooking Thermometer I can press the button that says "ON" and quickly get the temperature on a digital display.  To be honest, I just want to be able to make my family a nice dinner without giving them all salmonella or letting my toddler climb in the oven. This thermometer let's me do that.
